We believe that the market is always and never rational. It is always seeking efficiency, but is never actually efficient. At all times, there are stocks that are either over-priced, fairly-priced, or below-value.
This blog is dedicated to showing our opinion of the truth behind the up-chucks that show up because of the stock market and mass media on a recurring basis.

The Markets Up Chuck

Hi, my name is Chuck Carnevale, and I am the Chuck in the Markets Up Chuck. I have dedicated my entire adult life to promoting sound investing practices in order to return them to their rightful place in the minds of the investing world. During my senior year of college, my Economics professor showed me a study that correlated earnings to stock market returns over a 40-year period. Totally smitten by this research, I have spent almost a half a century validating the undeniable correlation and fundamental relationships between how well a business performs on an operating basis and how well shareholders profit as a result. This is in stark contrast to today’s speculative and short-term oriented obsession with stock price volatility. In 2008 the wretched excesses of Wall Street finally caught up with them causing an Up Chuck rarely before witnessed in finance. I feel this created the perfect opportunity to finally get the attention of investors everywhere to finally see the light of true fundamental investing. I am also an opportunist by nature that understands that in the long run, the market’s direction is clearly up, with only an occasional and usually short-lived interruption along the way. I have a BS in Economics from the University of Tampa, Florida, and reside there with my wife and children. I am passionate about sharing these important principles with all who will listen.
